Colour: Deep plum with purple hues. Bouquet: Plum, blackcurrant, hints of mint and tobacco aromas combine with warm spicy notes of liquorice and toasty oak.

Purple Angel has an intense purple color with distinctive and delicate hints of chocolate and cigar box aromas. The Carmenère grapes coming from our Apalta estate provide elegance and spiciness along with chocolate, vanilla and tobacco aromas, fruit of the combination of dark fruit flavors. The Petit Verdot (from Apalta) adds structure and at the same time the wildness of black berries with the Carmenère from Marchigue adding spicy and lively hints to this very special wine. On the mouth, it is full bodied, with a considerably amount of ripe tannins giving grip and structure to this lovely wine. Mouth filling with a very long finish.

Splurging a little, we opened this 3rd growth GCC from Haut-Medoc after enjoying the 2nd wine from this Chateau. After some decanting time the nose showed aromas of plum, currants, oak, pine, coffee, chocolate, cherry and savoury herbs. On the palate quite ready to go yet still depth underneath. Pure fruits over clean minerals and a long finish, this was a stylish and accomplished Bordeaux. Very nice.
